Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Open Pit Mine Worker to assist with the daily operations of an open pit quarry. This role involves operating equipment, performing manual labor, assisting with material extraction, and maintaining safe work conditions. The ideal candidate is physically capable, dependable, and able to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with extraction and processing of rock, gravel, or other aggregate materials.

• Operate or assist with operation of quarry equipment such as loaders, excavators, drills, and crushers.

• Load materials into trucks and conveyors.

• Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, scaling rock, and clearing debris.

• Inspect equipment and report maintenance issues to supervisors.

• Follow all mine safety regulations and site procedures.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas.

• Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous construction, mining, or heavy equipment experience is a plus but not required.

• Ability to work outdoors in dust, noise, and changing weather conditions.

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor.

• Strong attention to safety procedures.

• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work environment in an active quarry.
